I have been here, but not yet on this trip. It is a really cute little vegan cafe on Rivington St, owned by the musician Moby. It has a massive menu of teas, with lots of information about their health benefits etc, and teas in nice tins to buy as gifts.
Their website has a useful 'tea finder' where you put in the characteristics or benefits you want the tea to have, and it gives you suggestions.
I bought some cake here when I went in December - not so sure about the vegan desserts, but the tea was really nice, served in a cute little teapot.
